u forgot "artists that sell out to record companies" all commercial bands do that
ever since the fifties no new music genres have appeared. (except maybe hip hop/rap) All new genres are a mix of every thing else.
e.g. rock = country + blues
metal = rock made angrier

1. The foo fighters - they are easily one of the best live bands in the the world. Saw them this year and they were so awesome.
2. Kraftwerk - They invented techno music and they are one of the most highly regarded groups in the world.
3. Either The Datsuns or Shihad - they are 2 of the best bands 2 see live in New Zealand. Every time Shihad play they go off.
