...there is such thing as a compilation album released every so often in NZ, which has a mix of songs by bands that are completely unheard by the public? For example, if I was to send in a copy of a song I made on my computer and it would be featured on the mixed CD whenever it's released.
If there's no such thing, I think it would be a cool idea. However, if there is...does anyone know how I would go about contacting the people involved in the making of such a compilation?
Hello all. :)
Thought I'd just pop by to let you all know about my new MSN Group. It's called Mungbean Music.
Basically, it's a place where struggling musicians, like myself, can get together and talk about each other's bands, give advice to each other, or help promote them. Stuff like that. Apart from that, it's a good way to get to know who's out there that we don't know about (yet).
If you're interested in joining, or know someone that would be interested, feel free to stop by. :)
Sounds good to me. :) If you like, you can e-mail me directly. You can join the group at the end of this message if you like too - my e-mail address can be found there. :)

Yep I'm still interested. I play (rhythm) guitar mainly, but I can play bass as well. :)

Hey there. :)
Sorry about the link confusing you and all. If you want, you can join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MungbeanApplicants for the full set of info on what I'm after.
I was a bit nosey and checked out a thread you started. Classic rock? Sweet. :) That's a big part of what I'm looking for too.

I'm looking for the members of my old band, Supertrip. We played together from 1997 to 1999 in Christchurch.
After the band went our separate ways I never really saw the members again. I saw one or two a couple times after, but as of today I don't see them at all.
So I was wondering if anybody knows where I can find the following people:
Jonathan Hearn (guitar) - Last I heard he got a job in Ashburton, but that's all I've heard.
Luke Connor (drums) - After the band broke up I saw Luke only a couple times. But I lost contact again.
Stephen Armstrong (vocal/rap) - I haven't seen Stephen since the band split.
Rasjad Addison (manager) - Rasjad technically put the band together. He left to get a job in Greymouth in 1998, but I've heard rumours that he's back in Christchurch doing something else for a living.
If anybody knows any of these guys, please reply this thread, or go to my Supertrip site at the link below, and post me a message there.
Cheers.
n-Somnia (a.k.a. Jared)
I'm looking for some local musicians in Christchurch wanting to form a band. Their gender is not important, but ages are preferred between 18 and 25. For more information, click on the link at the end of this message, or reply this thread.
Cheers.
n-Somnia.

P.S. There is a link to another site with a more detailed description of what I'm looking for, which you can find by following the one at the bottom of the message.
I'm a little too old to join, but I wish/pray you all the very best though! Hope to see you at Parachute someday. :)
