COME ON PEOPLE, WHERE ARE YA'S? 28yo guitarist/surfer/mc recently relocated to Auckland from the mainland (West of the South) looking for the like minded, keen for some fun playing covers. Ive been gigging for 15 years, so would prefer experienced (but not essential) muso's who are into ALL styles (mainly Rock/Pop), not just dudes who THINK they can play ALL styles, cause if you're not into it, then ya end up playing it half hearted and it sounds piss weak. Eg Old & New school Rock, R&B, Hip Hop, Acoustic, Pop, Punk, Funk (Natalie Imbruglia, RATM, Dragon, Marley, Pink, Kylie M, Linkin park, Chilli's, Pennywise, Stacey Orrico, Republica, Eagles, Matchbox 20, Crowded house, Alanis M, Offspring, No Doubt etc, but I also love to put the gat down and spit Eminen, Kid Rock, and Nelly, that can easily be covered with a band (trust). ALSO love to do an acoustic type singalong set or similar. So I guess u need to be versatile, down with ALL genres, enthusiastic, open minded, and up for some fun, goodtimes, and extra $$. Im pretty big on the groove thang as opposed to gat solos (but not always) and I can sing and harmonize as well as rap. Keen for another guitarist to do most of the lead work when required as well as a lead vocalist (M or F) to share. Would also help if the others could sing to, as Im into BIG harmonies (where's all the brothers at?), especially with singalong acoustic numbers. Ive checked out a few Auckland cover bands now including KICK who have the hell website, but none so far have shit on my old covers bands in the south. Sad but true.
