Hey would anybody be interested in trying to recreate the Jeff Buckley sound? Im going through this mad Jeff phase and was wondering if anybody else wanted to start something like that email me at psycotic_shrimp@hotmail.com or txt me on 021 211 7220
Hey im gonna start a pop/rock band, and was looking for a lead guitarist and a vocalist to start things off. The sound will be like Blink 182 infusiated (if thats a word) with third eye blind.
Any singer wishing to apply must have a distinct vocal ability and be between the ages of 18 and 21
All the lead guitarist has to be is decent (in their own mind) and enjoy the music
Email me at psycotic_shrimp@hotmail.com
yea man i would be keen for like mint chicks, franz ferdinand or even at the drive in typa deal, i play guitar (just like everybody else does)
Yea man, im into bands like coldplay and radiohead, i also play the guitar, but am not aware of myself being depressed.
Im 19 from the shore, email me at psycotic_shrimp@hotmail.com if ya interested
Before i start listing my bands, i gotta admit every post in here has wicked choices and it seems almost all have great tastes in music ;)
1. Third Eye Blind - I cant ever recall TEB ever coming to NZ, but i expect they would have when they released their self titled album ages ago. So it would be a great thrill to most to see them.
2. Radiohead - I know others have suggested this, but its such a damn good idea. I mean Thom Yorke would go off
3. And what about like a huge kiwi icon finale, with people like Dave Dobyn, Jordan Luck, Chris Knox, the Finn family, and then they could sing all of the classic kiwiana songs and it would be like the biggest drunkard singalong NZ has ever seen.
ps U2 and even Avril would make it good, except i would expect i lot of teenie boppers to come to see Avril. Mint Chicks, Basement Jaxx and Mars Volta are gonna go off this year!

Heya team,
Im looking to start some jamming sessions with any like-minded individuals (any instruments guys, as long as it sounds cool) anywho, these sessions could just be cover sessions to start off with so we can get familiar with each others styles and techniques of their given instrument, then hopefully moving into writing our own music (im sure we all do that at the mo anyway)
Il give you a vague idea of the sound im going for….. Basically a funky pop rock, I wont name bands that I want to sound like, but I will list a fair few bands/artists that I hold in high regard and love their music.
John Mayer, John Butler Trio, Butterfly Boucher, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Klaxons, The Futureheads, Jeff Buckley, At the Drive In, Deftones, Orson, Nizlopi, Mew, Looptroop, Kisschasy, Kaskade, Joseph Arthur, Frou Frou, A Perfect Circle, Four Tet, Snow Patrol, Common, Billy Corgan, Third Eye Blind, Bloc Party, Jakob, Everlast, Shapeshifter, Aim, Arrested Development, Fall Out Boy, Bonobo, Kanye West, RJD2, Motion City Soundtrack, Pete Yorn, Mint Royale, Basement Jaxx, Duchess, The Mint Chicks, Sneaker Pimps and to most this last one will be a killer to the list….. Avril Lavigne (unfortunately I actually like her songs and think shes hot too)
But yea, I put out an extensive list as if you like any of these artists, I know ill get along with you already.
A bit about me… Im blonde, blue eyed, don’t really like the beach as I have a deathly phobia of salted water….. just kidding. Im currently based in Albany but will be moving more towards the Bay’s of North Shore, I play the guitar and little bit of the keyboard, my guitars arent of the best standard at present, but I have a decent acoustic ive borrowed (for a good couple of years now) off a mate.
Anyway guys, like I mentioned earlier, I want anybody and everybody to reply/respond, you don’t have to be the best at your instrument of choice, as long as you passionate about music, keen for a bit of fun and lastly are into the same vein of music.
Either reply to this post, give me a text/call on 021 578 756 or email me on psycotic_shrimp@hotmail.com
Cheers guys, “its all about love”
