pre-collider i would have agreed with you but their new sound, the rockier sound of tracks on collider really surprised me. cooler riffs and shit too,even though they are very simplistic.
I'd add goldenhorse for a shitty nz band, their music is unoriginal, boring to listen to and generally is the musical analogy of a slow painful death. oh yeah, and 98% of female punk bands. No talent there either, just a bunch of teenaged girls that think it's great to start a punk band and scream the same lyrics over and over and over again. Rockquest has enough of these to sink the titanic again.
also bro, just wanted to say it's really refreshing to see a newly formed band who burn with such enthusiasm, and, most importantly, are so appreciative of their supporters etcetera, with this mentality i'm sure you'll become very popular in your scene and those beyond. from what i've heard the comments in the excerpt from your site seemed justified. Also, how do you order the merch off your site?
Unfortunately the scene isn't as populated as I'd love it to be, but that doesn't prevent the bands who do do this style doing it well. I listen to a lot of stuff rooted in the underground though also,from nz,america or otherwise, and I always appreciate the ability to support such up-and coming bands as yourself. Pass my regards onto the band if you wish to.
As for the country, yeah, what you may have seen in the photos is one very notable aspect, the scenery,but theres also other aspects too that make it quite a nice country. People who come here don't often leave with derogatory sentiments. I wish there was more of a thriving scene.
Perhaps if you guys "make it", loose term, or if you gather some money, you could come down here sometime?
By the way, ive been thrashing "10 rings" today and yesterday, it's great. Would be interested to hear some other new tunes. I listened to the other songs on your site as well. I worked out the guitar part for 10 rings today. Cool stuff, bro.

the vocals are excellent, so are the drums and guitars, i know the feeling of always being critical of your own music but i listen to a lot of music in this style and the songs are a lot better than some ive heard, excellent lyrics too, and you have some beautiful melodies.
Keep up the good work. I hope you get this off the ground and go somewhere,I'll be recommending your music to some of my friends who are this way musically inclined.

they are good. but the singers been kicked out and so they are temporarily touring with a different one, I'd be interested to hear him. they don't sound like extol or borknagar really, they have their death metal influences but really its just straight up metalcore. theres good technique in tracks like the last, when the sun sleeps,fuck, i used to listen to this band a while ago now i forget the titles. but whatever. my criticism is their songs are too fucking long. epic songs hold my attention for only so long. but they have some mean riffery.
