I'm a progressive house/deep trance/tek house (with some instrumental/new age influences as well) producer living in Hamilton. I have my own home recording and mastering studio and currently release independently for Atlantean Records, an online music label I've set up.
I have previously done some vocal work with a friend of mine, and I'm interested in doing some more colaborations with other vocalists in the Hamilton region if they're wishing to get some of their talents published.
The sort of music I have in mind to produce with vocals is what could loosely be termed as dance music, but more technically, progressive house, deep trance and tek-house. Some examples are tracks like Holden & Thompson's "Nothing"; Creamer and K's mix of Sinéad O'Connor's "Troy"; Delerium feat. Sarah McLachlan's "Silence"; and "Rapture" by iiO, so essentially any female vocalists with a pop/alternative sort of background would be greatly suited. That's anything along the lines of Sarah McLachlan or Dido, if you prefer more popular examples.
As of yet I don't have any sort of commercial deal for my music so all work will be non-profit, but essentially you would get your/our music heard by others (mostly online). And if the result turns out to be successful, I'll be more than happy to share whatever I get when any of the music is published commercially.
The recording equipment I have is a DAW with a MOTU FireWire 828mkII (24-bit) and, unfortunately, only an AKG D 660 S dynamic mic. But if there's a good reason to buy a high-end condensor than I'll surely look into it. Coupled with the mastering processors I have, the end results would certainly be close to professional sound, however.
So, if someone is interested in anything like this, feel free to drop me a note and I'll gladly respond.

I forgot to add, male vocalists would be ok too, but currently I'm more interested in producing tracks just with female vocals, but there's certainly nothing wrong with "Jakatta feat. Seal - Vision" either, so I guess any sort of Seal, Sting or John Mayer type vocalists could be something to look into in the near future as well. Drop me a line anyway.
