Original members of The MC5 will be touring as DKT/MC5 - playing Wellington August 3 - @ Indigo, and Auckland August 4 @ The Studio. Joining them will be Mark Arm (Mudhoney), Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman) and Evan Dando (Lemonheads)

Must be that 'sunken' stage at the back of staircase. It's quite big. I remember when I saw it thinking it would be a great band venue. I've only been to staircase once, after a zuvuya concert at Galatos when we snuck into someones 21st there. I jumped the balcony down into the area where MC5/ gomez will be playing and ran around the massive empty room... then had a hell of a time trying to get out...
Can't wait to see the MC5. Wonder if Evan Dando's still in a bad mood?

maybe so, but i have seen enough of PHILL COLLINS to be quite sure... hang on...omfg phil collins played at live aid in place of John Bonham... hmmm... aparently he had a bad time... oh that was coz there was actually 2 drummers and other one was being an ass and not listening....hmmmm ... phill collins is a greater drummer than dennis machine gun (if you subscribe to modern drummer's readers polls) so i back down on that point about who is better drummer.
lena as a drummer, hmmmm my guess is a Jazz head , sounds intelegent - just in the wrong place at wrong time i guess, bit of a shame really.
