Here we go again.
A LOW HUM Tour #3 "The Fanatics and Disasteradio"
Its Tour number 3! Every month with the help of Jack Daniels, A LOW HUM is taking the finest New Zealand independent artists on the road to celebrate the release of each new issue and in June we are bringing a double header.
The Fanatics are an electro rock two-piece who exploded onto the Auckland music scene less then a year ago and have spent more time then almost any other NZ artist at the top of the b-net charts since. Their two singles "Girl" and "Models" have been absolutely thrashed on student radio and gaining a huge reputation for their energetic live show, they are absolutely unmissable. They're making their first trip down south on this tour.
Joining The Fanatics is Disasteradio from Wellington. Disasteradio has been described as a "one-man Kraftwerk". His collection of gear and odds and ends that he plays live is eclectic to say the least. Having self-released three cd-r albums and a tape through "Stink Magnetic", Disasteradio is about to have his fourth album pressed properly through Etcetera records and this tour signals his first shows outside of Wellington. Come and see what the fuss is all about and why Disasteradio has become an underground cult phenomenon in Wellington.
Turning this tour into a Electro Rock supernova, Christchurch based "The Locking Cycle" will be joining the two for the South Island dates, while the insane Golden Axe from Auckland will be joining in on the fun in the North Island.

i'm glad you made it through and out of Central Otago! wondered if the 'west coast mountain pass' ideas might've gone out the window cos of the big snow dump ...
good to meet you and the Fanatics and Mr D Radio. it was a great show. i've still got 'Paperboy' in my head, and was finally convinced that a backing-tape performance can actually take place and actually sound bloody fantastic (course it helps if it's coupled with absolutely fantastic cataclysmically brilliant shredding ascerbic guitar!)

Thanks for the jam AKA, it managed to get through the whole trip without getting broken and considering we were all messy drunk 24/7, it should've been broken many times over.

nikolai hartofskii, the russian film maker and unsuccessful moscow rock musician, formerly of the k.g.b. sent to infiltrate the nz music scene and pharmaceutical companies after failed attempts to make it big in the motherland. its much easier to make it in nz, isnt that just obvious. besides whos ever heard of a russian rock band of notoriety.
