punk - punk rock gig, who would you want to see?

Ok, few questions here. If you wanted to go to a punk/punk rock gig who exactly would you be the most keen to see?. Basic format would be 5 bands, similiar to this years scrambled eggs, which had Rabble, Losing Face, Bolbox Rex, Goodnight Nurse and The Bleeders.

Also would you head out out to see a gig on a Monday if it was a public holiday and what is your opinions in regards to finish time, is a 11pm finish to late if u got work the next day.

Cheerio

Thanks

Forums: NZ Music,

poodlefaker, troy the snail, goodnight nurse, losing face and rabble and finish would b at around midnight

sommerset, the bleeders and frugduct (ah yeah-ah) - no one else really. finish round midnight:)

Little kym, how in the heck did you hear about the bleeders on the other side of the world? You just reached one of them. Now in a band called The Hitchhikers. e-mail me back and I'll send you a t-shirt etc. I like to keep the real world posted.

We Dunno, the Rod Johnson Experience & the Nana Squad

i'd make it not in the north shore.

without north shore bands

north shore bands are better than any other cities bands in NZ.

don't fuck with them...

Xcluding west auckland bands.

Where is the north shore??

it's a shore, north of auckland.

ha ha i love messing with aucklanders

Oh yeah, you really showed us!

North shore? ahaha, fuckin hell, everyone knows West Auckland bands are way better

The Bleeders, Missing Teeth, DSM ... only to name a few

//ha ha i love messing with aucklanders

ha ha.... no.

//i'd make it not in the north shore.

Yes please not on the shore.i live in west auckland and there are not many all ages punk gigs happening they seem to always be on the shore.Ive had to drive over there so many times to catch some good bands live.More all ages gigs here out west please!

//i live in west auckland and there are not many all ages punk gigs happening they seem to always be on the shore

Like they say, West is Best. Best for what? Keeping away from? Maybe. I'll let you decide.

//yes, nymph, great band from waitakere, they do a cover of fraggle rock!! woooooohoooooo!
They're my mates band. Up and coming, punk pop band.

NYMPH!!!

nymph?

yes, nymph, great band from waitakere, they do a cover of fraggle rock!! woooooohoooooo!

ah right, well, i'll keep an ear out ...

How can I hear their music and get in touch with them?

Yeah, not over the shore. Last time that gig happened the only bands that people really got into were the bleeders, the rabble and goodnight nurse. The others just didn't get the crowd going.

Maybe try The Bleeders, The Rabble, Goodnight Nurse, Elemeno P, Missing Teeth.

Yeah i agree with that line up

I admit that is a wicked line up, but what is the possibility of getting Missing Teeth on stage with Goodngiht Nurse and Elemenop?.

As for Troy The Snail heard none of there music, anyone got a website link to some MP3's

Yeah, and not have the rabble first. I haven't been to many shows where the rabble have played first... but apart from the Sick Of It All show, it's a total anti climax.

there is no hope for any of you. stay on the north shore and never ever cross the bridge, there's scarey music over here.

//I admit that is a wicked line up, but what is the possibility of getting Missing Teeth on stage with Goodngiht Nurse and Elemenop

Yeah, that's true. I just suggested them so you had a bit of each punk genre. Personally i hate goodnight nurse.

I don't think many of us north shore kids stay on the shore very much at all. We're off over the bridge almost every weekend because that's where most of the venues are.

I was impressed with Losing Face, and even the now defunct Bolbox Rex were pretty good. But I spouse everyone has there own tastes. Would nto be in the shore probably be a central location, and due to them being uni related will be second semester. Just trying to gauge interest in bands.

Yeah, I'm looking for some punk bands who have just started out to play some shows in Auckland. Anyone in a band keen or know of any bands who might be keen?

The rabble, so hot right now, ooh, and the disposed. their having a gig in hamilton tomorrow

4 Mistaken Identity, 21 Guns, The Disposed, Graveyard Rumble, Garage Fodder Ward Lane, Hamilton $6 8:30pm

Yeah, thanks. I know those guys quite well :P

yeah bro andrew you should get hold of nymph! you heard of them? bro- sommerset, The Bleeders, The Rabble, Cold By Winter and Deep Obsession.. that lineup would be like cool to the max-i-mum... and would finish at anytime so that all the bums like myself could most enjoy the sleep in the next day
