There are plenty of male trends that need to stop. However I'm not a homosexual, so I'm not actively checking out dudes. Listen Tiffany, this thread was not a spur of the moment thing, this is the culmination of an elaborate sociological survey. The general consensus was that they don't help with oral sex. Hence, they are a stupid trend that needs to be stopped immediately.

Hey, ive had my tongue pierced for about 8 months now and oral sex was definitely NOT my reason for getting it. Called me socially challenged or whatever but i didn't even pay any attention to the myths about tongue piercings and oral sex.
In fact i hate giving head. Now from my previous experiences with going down on a guy, which was certainly before my piercing, i've been told i'm the best he's ever had. Apparently i did everything right to "press his buttons" so to speak, and therefore no room for improvement. So no, i did not get my tongue pierced for that reason.
I can't be exact why i got it done. I love the way it looks and i like the feel of it being there. I haven't given head since i got it done so i can't say whether or not i'm better at it. But i have no excitement watsoever to try it out.
I don't see why it's a 'trend' that should stop. I'm sure there are people out there who genuinely like having it, and whether they are better when it comes to oral sex, well thats their business! Anyone who feels a deep need to try and get ppl to stop gtting piercings are just making a mountain out of a mouldhill.

Great! I'm jst trying to justify my point. I just don't think that i should be labelled just coz i have my tongue pierced. All i was trying to explain is that the whole 'tongue piercing=oral sex' isn't always true. Saul reckons that it doesnt make it better so ppl should just stop getting them. I didn't get mine for anyone else but me so i find it really annoying to be told that the only ppl who get them are only getting them coz they want to give better head.
