As was Dangermouse (David Jason is his name - he'll always be the downtrodden grocery store assistant Granville from Open All Hours to me). And Count Duckula wasn't really the villain of Dangermouse - I think he was a guest character for one storyline - baron greenback was always Dangermouse's arch-nemesis.
