I noticed there is a lot of discussion on these boards about Christian music. I think it's great! Obviously you shouldn't judge the music by what the singers personal beliefs are. But generally Christian music has a very positive message and that's why people like it so much. You can trust that there won't be swearing and songs about drugs and sleeping around and all that kinda stuff when you know it is by a Christian artist.

For those of you who aren't Christian, you are definitely entitled to your own opinion but why put down something just for the sake of it?! It seems that so often people who aren't Christian are more than willing to put down Christian artists...but truly what is the point? Are you jealous that these people have found their own truth, and that they are happy, that they are doing well and everything is going great for them?

What is it that you have against Christians and their music? You think they are self righteous and swear about them. I think it's really cruel and mean to talk about people like that who have done nothing to deserve it. So you don't like their music? That's your choice...just because it's Christian doesn't mean everyone is going to like it.

I am Christian and I like music sung by artists who aren't Christian as well. And there is some Christian music I don't like. I really think there needs to be a stop to people insulting others music soley on the basis that you don't agree with what they believe in.

I think it's no one elses business and obviously you aren't happy with YOURSELF at all if you find enjoyment in putting others down. Being unhappy with yourself and your life can sometimes come from a lack of faith and belief in anything. People who believe in God are generally happier, stress free people coz they live with the comfort that someone else is watching over them and helping them every step of the way.

Sometimes life gets stressful and that is because we only see the here and now, where as God see's forever. You can't see the great things that are planned for you. Whether you are Christian or not, there is a wonderful plan for your life that you will find magically unfolds into place once you start looking on the bright side.

And sometimes it really helps when you have a belief in God....because you start to separate right from wrong and know the right direction for your life. We live in a world where everything seems grey, instead of black and white. Our generation lacks morals and standards simply because we go by the majority of our time. We think that what MOST people are doing is the right way. MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND and start being true to yourself.

Doesn't matter whether you are Christian or not...but don't put down Christian music because you are so scared that it might become so popular that it drowns out other music you like. There is always going to be plenty of room in the music industry for all sorts of music. Just relax and stop trying to control everything. If you were Christian you would find it much easier to let it go and to not let your anger build up inside!

This posting is dedicated to all the people who have been putting down Christian artists. I think they deserve a LOT MORE of your support!!!!

Christianity isn't about bible bashing and about judging others who have made bad decisions. It's not about being very strictly religous and only listening to one type of music and having hundreds of rules. It's about believing there is a God and that God forgives you for your wrong-doings and helps you to go in the right direction and stay on the right path.

God just wants the best for you, whether you are Christian or not, he loves everyone the same. To people who aren't Christian they seem to think Christianity is a bunch of rubbish and churches are full of crazy people who seem unrealistically happy. Well get over it because it is REAL and there is a God and the reason we Christians sometimes seem a bit "in your face" is because we are soooo happy with our belief in God and for all that God has done for us and the way he helps us in life...that we naturally want people who aren't Christian to experience God's love too.

Just like when you see a beautiful sunset - you want someone there to share it with you! I know it sounds corny...but for all those non-christians...I'm not saying you should be converted now. I'm saying PLEASE stop to think before you start putting down Christian artists....be more accepting and others will be more accepting of you and your music tastes!
