This week, exiter begin their quest. That's the R'Totos band quest - come check out the final heat of the round 1 this wednesday - May 19 - at R'Totos in Takapuna on Auckland's north shore.
Big thanks to everyone who turned out to cheer us on last night at the R'Totos Band Quest. Hopefully we'll see you all again next Wednesday when we compete in the grand final.
mmmmm...$1000 of Rockshop gear and a single recorded at York Street. I'm drooling already...
Super massive extra large sloppy thanks to everyone involved in last nights R'Totos Band Quest. We took out the final (only just, according to the judges) and now have in our grubby little hands a whole bunch of cash, rockshop vouchers and soem recording time at York Street studios.
We have now finished recording two songs with the guys at Rock Factory, and this weekend we head into York St Studios to record a third song and get them all mixed. All for under $300! Haha who says good manners dont get you anywhere these days.
P.S. We also got through our heat of Battle of the Bands, so we're into the semis in August.
I had the pleasure of hearing Exiter perform live on Friday at the Crook - O my god these guys rocked my tits off!!! If you havnt seen them you so need to go check them out. They are the most amazing performers and gave 110% to their performance and I will definatly be keeping an eye on these boys!!!!
Good to hear you guys still going well. Any upcoming gigs to announce yet? I am so annoyed, I just saw that you did a Wednesday night gig a couple of days ago and i missed it. Dammit!
We are playing a few gigs out of town over the next week, but we are back in auck on Friday the 20th at Ricks Bar, in Dominion Rd, and on Friday the 27th at the Crook, in Pakuranga.
Hey I'll definetly go to the Rick's Bar gig! My band Redmore have played there, it was a bit of a laugh, tiny, dingey with a track-pants-old-woman pokey player hidden in the corner. You basically play to the bar as the stage faces it directly.
thanks, the website is a bit of a work in progress. the ep is off getting pressed in singapore or somewhere, so it should be back next week! its all very exciting.
