Has anyone else got this? It's pretty damn cool! 60 NZ video clips is a lotta clips, and it's got all the classics on there; such as: Slice of Heaven, Pink Frost, Not given Lightly, and a few of the Split Enz ones. Almost every great song that Dave Dobbyn has been involved in is on here two! I suggest you all take a look at it. There's alotta new stuff on it too, Home Again, Che Fu and Zed etc. Excellent.
I got it for $18.56 at the Warehouse so it's a real bargain!

I dunno about this DVD ... on the upside it has Split Enz, Shihad ... on the downside it has looots of Dave Dobbo, only one Crowded House video, a lame video of a lame remix of Cruise Control ... plus lots of late 90s bands that are pretty much forgotten now ... Stellar wrote one of NZs all time top songs!?
Well the concept of the whole Natures ...
Well the concept of the whole Natures Best series is a really interesting one. In case you're not aware of how it was done (which explains the number of vids by D.D compared to say, Crowded House) is this:
Basically APRA (consisting of all NZ singer/songwriters and performers) plus an invited academy of 100 people were asked to list their all-time favourite NZ songs in order to compile an "official" list of the top 30 best NZ songs.
Then because they were really awesome songs, they decided to put them on CD (30 tracks therefore the Top 30)...Eventually Mike Chunn (at APRA) decided that because the first CD was such a success and the next 30 songs were great as well, they released Natures Best 2 on Cd, together along with Natures Best 3 to complete the top 100.
The next step up from the CD series was obviously DVD which is a collection of 60/100 of the best/favourite songs.
Sure there are quite a few Dave Dobbyn clips on there but he has done a heck of a lot of iconic Kiwi songs. The DVD has a pretty good range of clips on there. I mean you've got all the classic vids from all the great classic kiwi bands but also theres some pretty cool, recent stuff like Fur Parol ( Lydia/Andrew), Supergroove (Cant get enough) and The Feelers (Venus). I think it could definitely apeal to a lotta people! :)

Yeah, but there's plenty of Crowded House videos in the top 100 songs ... just only one has been included on the DVD. Even the second placed Don't Dream it's Over isn't on there!
I guess it's probably coz Crowded House have their own DVD out ... and don't want to detract from sales of that ...
