Bumpy, by the time I get to Phoniex I expect you to cut this nonsense out. If black moses catches you talkin like that it wont be Hot buttered Soul, it'll be fried Hot Cake!
1. Leolo (Tom Waits, Loreena McKinnett, Rolling Stones, etc)
2. Betty Blue (Gabriel Yared)
3. Blue (Zbigniew Preisner)
4. A Short Film About Killing (Zbigniew Preisner)
(those are my four faves, can't think of another one I like as much as these)
1. Friday Night Lights - Explosions In The Sky
2. The Virgin Suicides - Air
3. Praise - The Dirty Three
4. Suspiria - Goblin
5. Superfly - Curtis Mayfield
Some soundtracks are AWESOME!
A narrow miss is the Vampiros Lesbos soundtrack.
yeah, great soundtrack, though the EITS Eps are better. Such a wierd film, a fantastic soundtrack and beautifully shot, yet such a hackneyed cliche plotline. haha...i didn't even realise it was a film orginally, I just thought it was a new EITS album and i went along to movie by myself when i strolled past it in AKL awhile back and saw it was showing (i don't think it made a cinema release in welly)... haha, I was so embarrassed whenever i would get caught air drumming along to all those EITS drum rolls. brilliant soundtrack.
//Friday Night Lights
It had a very short showing at Reading, I think.
I also saw it on DVD somewhere... and they didn't mention the soundtrack anywhere at all on the cover... but the soundtrack is the only thing that would make me even look twice.
It gets a bit knoffler at times... and that Seagull song is not a favourite of mine... but yeah, I obviously really like it... they've swapped hugeness for prettiness and strings.

Oh yes, honourable mention of the Chris Cunningham short film "Rubber Johnny" with a soundtrack by Aphex Twin.
And The Cremaster Cycle soundtrack is also quite excellent.
