they were my cuppa tea. very much so. i think i hurt my face grinning widely and inanely when listening to them. if i die and go to heaven, they will be playing there (alongside other bands of course). i've always loved ratty-arsed loud dumb-but-disciplined melody hurtling-off-a-cliff stuff like that.
and Batrider were brilliant again. if possible, thought they were more improved by great sound by Garth on the desk (can't remember who mixed them last time). really appreciated them a lot more - wasn't so shocked in that "oh my god a fresh, exciting, new kiwi band!" way, and the separation between lead, rhythm guitar and voice made the songs even more compelling.
me & myshkin were sitting in the sofas at the front. front of sound desk. for a while. but then myshkin went mental (ie danced to Batrider) and i thought people were gonna fall on me, so i moved back.
I was the little white boy in a brown top on a seat just behind the soft seats, just to the left of the sound desk - by myself for most of it. I saw myshkin when he said bye to blink and I probably saw you as well....... but ah well. Glad you enjoyed the gig

I was thinking about going to the zoo today to see the pretty flowers and laugh at the monkeys, but the rest of the time I'll be right here in my cozy little apartment on Ashland Ave. Any stalkers who make it this far get a free beer and lunch...
hopefully going for a swim today if anyone is hme within the next 45 minutes to an hour (can only really go if you can get a decent swim before it starts to get cold).

well ive been at home suffering from a cold and treating it with (at least as how jet would say it) "Self-Medication" ie. booze. after all isnt alcohol supposed to kill germs?? well ive downed 12-13 beers on friday (when my sore throat came upon) and tonight and the claim that "alcohol kills germs" is at least in my terms total codswallop.
ironically my neighbours where around tonight and the husband has the same lurgie as i do. i Thnk he got it off his daughter whos mates with my sister, but as i say with a cold....easy come, easy go.
