CODY PLAYED- NO ONE WROTE A WORD

¿did no 1go?- ¿did no 1 like it?- funny old cody- he walks a fine line- between marvin & ben- i should get in contact again

Forums: The Bar,

A friend of my boyfriends went up to see him and whilst wandering the streets of Auckland bumped into him. Being the bold young man he is he said 'hey cody'. And Cody was so stoked that someone in lil old NZ recognised him they went and had a few beers! How the gig went or what he was like I still haven't heard, because it was thought this guys gloating wasn't worth it. Silly boys.
I think Cody chestnutts real choice anyway, and I'm gutted I missed it.

I only saw the last two and a half songs, but that convinced me I need to get his album.

Be aware it's all crusty home demo styles. If that sounds good to you, check it out.

i went. twas a great gig.
chopper was hilarious and cracker the skins greg has great hair....

bloody good show - well worth the mulla.

were you in orcs joanna or did he play in welly too?

I was in orcs, and my friend was doorlisted, which is why we were so slack and got there so late. It's a hard life getting free stuff.

ack! lucky cow!

actually, from what people told me, most of the punters got in for free....there were quite a few industry peops there - not to mention people who had won tickets (like geekboys frined) off bfm.

plah, personally - i - ralphie, was a true supporter and forked out to go.

worth it...didn't you think??

wow - i wonder what it would be like to be a FriNed?

i was supposed to say/write/type - "geekboys...friEnd"

Free Ned! Donna Martin Graduates!

It wouldn't have been worth $50 for the two and a half songs, but if you were into his music, then definately worth it. I've missed out on people that I absolutely love because of the price, so personally I wouldn't have forked out the money even for the whole gig, because I have never heard the albums, but yeah, he seemed really lovely and it seemed like he connected with the audience as well, which is really important.

i hadn't really heard much of him before but a friend of mine who had a couple of his albums convinced me that it was a gig nto to be missed. Before going to the show I had only heard about 3 or so songs so I wouldn't call myself a fan...I'm more of a convert. The show was great, Cody has an amazing voice and cracker the skins and chopper put on a rhythm section show not to be missed.

I'd a gree with you though Joanna, usually unless I had heard the band beofre and was a bit of a fan then I wouldn't fork out $50 bucks either - however, trusting the musical taste of friends can prove to be a good thing - as it was in this case.

I will buy the album - I look forward to listening his4 track-style-d.i.y- he is pretty bloody good even though he is overly eccentric.

hmmm...remind me to proof read before i post...

hope you can figure out what i am trying to say...

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!
