I don't think it could ever be taken seriously, but it sure would be a bunch of fun.
They used to be our very own gunners rip off, well one hit wonder gunners rip off, well two songs that i have heard on the radio, but only tripping out ever seems to get played these days.
possibly in terms of image, I mean Steve Abplanalp's pic from "a trillion" shows he was definitely influenced somewhat by axl rose. Their sound is definitely not gnr influenced though. They remind me more of bands like van halen.
you're probably write actually, just the way mike havoc sings the chorus in trippin', to me its very axl rose style, but granted in terms of the way the verses run, not particularly gunners style.
Did you watch the use your illusions tour footage on c4? guess you probably own the dvd :)
high lights, matt and duff both playing the one drum kit, and when they played civil war, that was really well done.
