in the last few days we have seen the failure of this 'US GI Joe' attempt to dictate how other countries
should be run. they have done nothing to prevent terrorism and instead have inflamed events

The whole thing is this government basically made it "unpatriotic" to question thier actions and that cowed a great deal of folk into going along with a lot of the shit Bush has done.

good evening grandpa, like most "western democrocies", NZ has one political party, the Big Business party. this has two factions, the one slighly left of extreme right currently holds power. Ms Clark undoubtably thinks she is doing a good job, and as long as the MMP [a form of proportinoal voting] is the election mechanisim, she will stay in power for as long as wants. We have no widespread independent press, in fact people get sacked for drawing cartoons critizing Israeli Govt. You can say anything you want about Maoris or brown people in general, unless its positive, then it wont get published. Our television is unbelivably bad, apparntly we share this malaise with the rest of the world. Our local music scene appears to be on the up, unless you choose to believe the mouthpieces for international arms manufactorors, I mean record labels, who are worried as profits down. Also tax money must not be spent on things young, brown people are interested in, least they keep themselves out of prision where we can privitize sector and have them as legal slaves, making us shoes and toupees. HipHop summit anyone? For some reason prostitution was recently legalised, as if the people who voted for it would actually want their sons or daughters in that industry. Simultainusoly the drug laws were toughened, at no stage will the ambulance move from the bottom of the cliff. And where else in the world would I choose to live? Nowhere else.
