I don't know about the album, but i really like the new single, Miss You. I think after seeing the video a lot, the song's grown on me a hell of a lot. I quite like their new sound, altho it can't really compare to the likes of Dammit or Whats my age again.

its a more mature sound from the blink guys and its really helped distinguish them from other punk bands now adays, feeling this is fucken cool aswell

they are cool

ive never been able to bring myself to like blink 182- its his voice, it really irks me.

who? there's three people in the band.

argh i dunno. all of them. i don't like the vocals.

I think he/she/it's talking about Tom.

He has a destinctive different voice, which is great. Most people just don't give it a chance.

Well my friends, it would be a very dull world if everyone sounded the same.

Blink 182 suck, ever since "all the small things" they have gone on a kamikaze mission and have appealed to the wrong fan base, yes 'dude ranch' was good but this was before the sold there souls to the likes of MTV and 91ZM and became bubblegum pop - a boyband with instruments is how i would put them, total shame, a total shame.

Good god, if I hear Feeling It once more my head will explode and I'll run around aimlessly for a few minutes ...

I like that siacat (or whatever) album, and thats about it. Although a mate of mine reckons the new album is really awesome... but hes a drummer, who likes travis barkers playing.. so he may have clouded vision.

i've only heard the two recent songs released from the new album, and i like them.

i got the album when it first came out they've matured so much and in a good way some of the songs are really dark and are no longer about masturbation or sex but about dying and serious stuff and their guitar riffs are more heavier and more complicated. No jokes songs on this album and the album is self titled they chose to call it "Blink-182" because they wanted the music to speak for itself.but there are some surprises on this record like the unlikely colaberation with Robert smith from the cure and the 7 minute song "I'm lost without you with heavy guitar riffs and two different drum sets in each ear "You can only really appreciate it with the headphones and the lights of your house dim". as tom delonge said
the track listing includes
"Feeling This"
"Obvious"
"I Miss You"
"Violence"
"Stockholm Syndrome"
"Down"
"The Fallen Interlude"
"Go"
"Asthenia"
"Always"
"Easy Target"
"All of This" (with robert smith
"Here's Your Letter"
"I'm Lost Without You"
"Bonus Track "Anthem part II" live

and also Tom has teamed up with gibson as you might have seen in the feeling this video
his guitar is:
A gibson classic semi-hollowbody design with a 'dirty fingers humbucking pickup with One volume control like the strat
i prefer the strat tho

if you want some REAL punk that aint about breakin up with your ex or your first date when you where 16 then i suggest u listen to The Dead Kennedys and/or Sex Pistols - sure they sold out but at least these guys didnt sing about "breaking up with my girl" or whatever, which begs the answer to the question, Anybody who thinks a punk band singing about love/romance etc is naive, punk was supposed to be about rebellion, anti-establishment lyrics such as "Its in the constitution to start a revolution" not "i gotta woman who loves me so much". i hope you all understand.

//Anybody who thinks a punk band singing about love/romance

i should have said anybody who thinks a punk band singing about love/romance is 'punk' is naive

i think the whole love/romance thing is just as important to punk music as any other genre, which is perhaps why emo came about (?) punks have emotions just like 'normal' people, they aren't just heartless bastards who scream a lot really. .

Blink-182 arnt punk they neva have been they probably r pop-punk but i dunno i know songs like Whats my age again or all the small things suk royal dick but blink certainly do have a few gems
like:
Waggy
Dammit
Enthused
Boring
Anthem
pathetic
dysentery gary
please take me home (influenced by fugazi believe it or not)
Oh and my take on punk is simply:Fun

all these so called punk groups like pennywise, blink 182, greenday, nofx are simply just nu-punk according to www.rockdetector.com
i like blink 182 though and i think the new cd isn't that great compared to other stuff.

Green Day are great though ... meant to have a new album coming out this year, that will be worth waiting for ...

Good growing up album. For those who've listened to blink and been inspired by them for many years, this album is a good album if you think of where it comes from. I think it's great what they've done although not all songs on the cd tickle my fancy like many of their others.

I actually really love the new vid for Miss You....except the part with the HUGE spiders, then i look away, but other than that, i luv it!
