...and I'd probably try and avoid meeting people I don't like. So the number of people you meet is probably more a result of how popular you are (given you actually want to meet people, and you're not stuck in taihape/timaru/greymouth) - not the other way around.

I noticed that for the most part, the people that vote for me vote for you. I checked the full select list and did the math...of all the people that have actually filled out the top 5, an astounding 40% have voted for us. That's quite nice.

quite a few of these people I met independently of nzm, and they either became members later (or in a few cases, I figured out a username was more then just a online personality I had occasional correspondence with, but was in fact someone I knew for real - dense as I am in spotting personal clues in online posts).
