Yeah, so anyway I saw Epitome in the weekend as well.. they sound like they've been playing together for a while, good musicians, they fit well together, and considering the (lack of) venue and audience they were really good performers. The singer has a great voice, they all played well and looked like they were enjoying themselves. However, the music - well, heard it all before only more interesting. Just when I was working out exactly how many different angst-metal bands they sounded exactly like, they played a Tool cover. Ouch. I thought about lena's golden rule and I reckon their songwriting would benefit from them listening to more music that they were embarrassed to admit they liked.
They were really good performers though. Suffice it to say I'd never buy an album, but if they supported Linkin Park I'd definitely turn up early enough to see them.
We are currently working in the studio with Stylus' drummer "Dave Rhodes" who did some production work on the Blindspott Album, to record our first single "Wait Your Turn". This will be released to radio in early September.
Also - we are supporting Stylus at The Masonic Tavern on the 6th of August with Down 2 One.
