Flying Nun was there for NZ Music when hardly anyone else was. For me their LP's formed the basis of my music collection & pride in NZ Music. Leading me to both support NZ Music & get involved in the industry. Thanks, Flying Nun!!!
how is flying nun arty and a bit too weird? i'd understand someone saying that about wendyhouse... but i can't think of any bands on the flying nun label that would be conisidered weird...
I can't help but notice "grandfather" is coming in a shade under ninety-odd percent at 38%.
Conclusion: Over half the posters on this site are tremendous fucking idiots.
flying nun has released some essential new zealand music over the years. music that has influenced many overseas independant left of centre bands. with some of their most recent sign ups i feel they have lost the ethos of originality and being influential and jumped on the current trend-mill. comes with being owned by a major corporate.
