What a Bloody Summer.

so what was summer like in your district this year?? Here it was probably one of the shortest on record, or at least that i can recall. Starts Early-Mid Dec and Finishes on the Last week of January. Then the weetest, coldest february on record strikes the heart of us. id expect february to the warmest and driest esp. in wellington but no, having those floods a couple of weeks ago made me think that winter is just around the corner.

Forums: The Bar,

true, I've noted here in hamilton that its been fine anyday I don't have to play cricket... take the last few weeks for instance. Been some showers here and there, nothing to big, apart from just before cricket practice or the night before a game, then its bucketed down. Three in the last for saturdays have been washed out... in fact the last three have... two with very sunny conditions on the saturday, ideal for cricket.... but the city council provides crap covers to the local groundsmen so the wickets still end up soaked.

yesterday it just pissed down because of the cyclone, but today, brilliant sun shine!

I feel totally ripped of by this summer. we had a couple of good weeks of sun in Oz but as soon as we got back it was just she ite. I just wish the wind and rain would stop - for the love of god! you spend the winter trudging to work in the cold and rain hanging out for summer and when it doesn't happen it totally gets you down

I think summer's dead. I just moved back to Welly from Brisbane (avg temp 34/35 on a good day...) to what I'd been told was "a pretty ok summer" - yeah, if you live in the nether regions of the earth where the sun doesn't quite make its daily visits. True, I was roasting in Brissy, but at least my skin had a health glow to it rather than being perpetually covered in goosebumps. Not a happy chappy aye - I think we need a do-over.
