top fives only appear on profiles for a couple of seconds then they disappear...even when it shows: pages 12 3 4... this only appears for a couple of secs also...hmmm...me thinkeths that this is not the norm??

Errr - no... I've gotten into the habit of automatically cancelling before the browser gets the chance to freeze up. I've been letting it load completely once every day or two to see if it's still a problem; there's been a couple of times that I noticed it seemed to load fine when I was a bit slow off the mark, but on further investigation I find it's still a problem. Couldn't tell you exactly which days I've tried it out though.

I'm surprised noone else has mentioned the same problem - after all it's not like I'm using some kind of alien technology... I've been trying to think of if there's anything dodgy installed that might be causing a problem (both laptop and PC have pretty much identical software setups), but so far I've come up with nothing plausible.

You're right on the fringe of what NZM will work on. Win95/IE5.0 is below 'web standards' which we tend to almost completely work towards these days. Theres only about 0.4% of machine setupd like that online.
You really need to get IE6 (but it dont work on Win95).
In fact your on a machine with an OS that predates the idea of NZM!
I imagine the visibilty will come back when we've tested for older browers that need special code. Hang in there.

its a bit of a stinkbuzz really - as it's a work computer so i probably shouldn't be goin' changin' things.
funny - i recently swapped my old work computer for this one-my old work computer was sooo old that nzm looked like something very pre 80's...i couldn't post anything and half of the bit's and bobs that i can see/do now were not there before...
so the positive side is that at least with this comp i have been able to potter around a bit more on nzm - to know that there is more than meets my eye is kinda exciting!
