Well there is nothing quiet like a bit of blatent self representation so lets kick this off!!!!!!
Welcome to Snubnoise's forum and freshly renovated artists page :-)
Bit of news to report, 7 songs have been confirmed for our next E.P with studio time booked for late june, and a handfull of gigs are also coming up and are listed on our Artists page.
Graduation from Dartmouth was approaching, and Ted’s father asked the question all college students dread: what was Ted going to do after college?
Ted claimed to have been awarded a fellowship to Oxford University and the elder Geisel reported the news to the Springfield paper, where it was published the following day. Ted confessed the truth—Oxford had denied his fellowship application—and Mr. Geisel, who had a great deal of family pride, managed to scrape together funds to send him anyway. Ted left for Oxford intending to become a professor. (He couldn’t think of anything else to do with an Oxford education). It would be the first of many turning points in his career.
Sitting in his Anglo-Saxon for Beginners class, his doodling caught the eye of a fellow American student named Helen Palmer. Helen suggested that he should become an artist instead of a professor. He took her advice and, eventually, he took her hand in marriage as well.
Snubnoise invites you to rock out with your bad selves.....TWICE
thats right! were looking forward to 2 shows this week.
First off is Valve on Thursday night with FireFly and VillaNine - proboly start around 10 with a measly $5 on the Door.
If Thursday nights aren't your bag you could always make an appearance at The Cross on Saturday for a night of romance with the Mighty Acid Jack and Viscera. Also a 10 start, and also $5
So get out there in the name of rock! It would be nice to put a face to some of your names :-)
Hi Snubnoise, Autumn Stone here. Thanks for the positive feedback on our site. We'd be keen to play a gig with you guys. We have contact with Acid Jack and I see you've played with them too, so maybe we could do something with them. Up to you guys though.
Havent got anything booked at the moment apart from the battle of the bands scene and the way Wellington is going it could even be a month or so before something opens up.
You guys have any gigs on the cards? Valve a personal favorite but booked solidly through to october, have a yarn with the Cross? Or could even work this Katipo angle?
Happy are yet to return my emails so it looks like Bodega or the cross is on......
In other news we are releasing our 8 track C.D this thursday at Eastside bar. Entry is free and for $15 you can get yourself a handle, a C.D, and a shot!!!! (or for thoese more soberly enclined $10 for a C.D) Sensational Value!!!!
Be great to see some of you lot there and put some faces to your names.
Accounting for Results
Accountability has not been an afterthought in New Zealand, as it has in other countries that have implemented reform. Instead it has been robustly designed as an integral feature of the reformed public service. The model of accountability is patterned on the relationship of buyers and sellers in commercial transactions. The linchpin of the New Zealand accountability regime is outputs, which is a strong common interest of both Ministers and managers. Ministers purchase outputs, while departments are paid a negotiated price to deliver those outputs. However, this accountability arrangement is most effective when the market is contestable and buyers and sellers can establish an arms-length relationship. This is not the case for the majority of government outputs, and there are significant transaction costs incurred in maintaining an accountability arrangement based on detailed ex ante specifications. Although specifying and reporting on outputs has improved over the years, the report suggests that a greater use of trend and comparative data in the Estimates would improve the ability to judge performance and lessen the increasing demands from Parliament for supplementary questions addressed to departments. Departmental Forecast Reports are deemed to partly duplicate information already available in the Estimates.
Really good to see you putting yourselfs out there. I'm a big fan from Friendly Feilding
and am related to one of your band members (take a guess which one ????). By the
way I was wondering if I could possibly (I know is your 'Stairway to Heaven') get the chords
to 'Drowning'? It would be really cool to play.
