i was going to suggest anime as well
great band

zeal is alright
but has a shit reputation with the kids
not many if any will come ;)

look at thistle hall, number unsure
aka, noizy...
can you guys link to the topic about venues and their locations and ph numbers???

i'm not sure about the R18 venues
valve might get something going

if you guys are confident about getting 200+
indigo MIGHT be a goer
but hey you have to try don't you???

if you come to the end
zeal will get you some punters
MAKE SURE YOU PUBLICISE IT!!!

i have a file from a while back of all the schools contact and fax numbers...
would you like it to help publicise your gigs???
and make sure you get the posters in manners mall and around
cause most teens have no knowledge of when all ages are...

anyway chuck me an email and i'll send this list over to you :)

apologies for my lack of manners

aka or noizy could you guys link to the topic about venues and phone numbers???
my machine is buggy at the mo :(

hey if you need a door man...
i'm not too bad at it
being imposing and kind of scary
while at the same time
being kind and warm

and im honest
heh

R18 will be easier to organise
but all ages is more fufilling...

// link to the topic about venues and phone numbers
can't, was looking for it a couple of weeks back..... it's seems to be gone

Hehe. JJ ... imposing. Hehe.

thanks aka :D

dont play at zeal!!!!!!

Zeal is the only one that comes to mind, most all ages shows seem to happen in community halls, which of course would mean supplying your own PA.

is Zeal still running??

just.

2 or 3 Saturdays ago i walked past Zeal and it was closed, yet surprisingly it was 11.30pm

yeah for sure, zeal has a really bad reputation with the kids (note proximity of wellington police HQ), and its unlikely you'll get a half decent crowd unless you play hip hop.
also the 'youth club' thing will keep older punters away..

i think thistle hall is the best option, as long as you are prepared to set up a PA, and finish your show by 12 midnight

underground arts (in wigan st) has (i think) a small in house PA, but capacity is probably only around 100-150 people, and its pretty sketchy...

thats about all i can remember, most other all ages shows in Wellington (most are punk shows to my knowledge) are held in peoples flats

it's unlikely that bars like indigo or valve will have all ages shows,

What the fuck would you know grusome. f00. ;o)

stop being a dunderhead

Roll over DJ.

oooh low.

grusome - if you read this, it's raining! You still keen for tonight?

yep...it appears to have cleared a bit

Best all ages entertainment in wellington would have to me Main St. Upper Hutt Every Friday and Saturday nights, Drunks are singing and doing stupid things as they leave the Lizard, highly hillarious watching them sing Xmas carols in the middle of January and adding explicit words to songs and to each other, yet all of this is free and for all ages.

well that sounds like a FAAANtastic idea... who wants to go out to upper hutt this weekend!!! come on hands up... party woooaaah, it'll be like christmas all over
