I for one have been crying into my instant coffee all morning. I can't believe I'm at work. And several hundred kilometres away. Why god, why?

Not too gutted. I'm savouring my nice plunger coffee staring out the window at the beach I walked down this morning. I'm not so excited at the work I'm doing at the moment, but when you can look over the top of your monitor at a beach, life can't be too bad.
Later, I'm probably going to take el motorbike over to the garage to see if my car is fixed (which will save me from abducting european tourists to hold the key in the start position while I bash the starter motor with a blunt implement). Then I might go swimming in a deep little swimming hole in a local river, sift a few more back roads on the motorbike, then come home and cook up a nice piece of steak to have with some red wine.
All in all I'm fairly unperturbed by lack of BDOage

Well, that does sound nice mr lime. Yr right - I should appreciate the other good things in life. Like I have a window in my office that opens and I'm having falafel for lunch and I'm going to see Katchafire tomorrow night. And I'm a relatively happy person.

Most of the bands i would have wanted to see the most are kiwi bands and i can see them at other times without having to pay for the international acts as well!

i'd probably be disappointed if there was any band in particular i really wanted to see that i couldn't just by handing $5 to a door guy ...
it's a really nice day though and it would have been pretty fun to skive off work and listen to music in the sun with a beer and some nice naughty tobaccy, but what with all the dancing in the streets and the music in the parks and the summer series etc i think i'm pretty well covered for choice over the next couple of months

Not really. The only bands I'd have been excited to see are kiwis and I'd still only have considered going if they held it down here in Wellington as well... I'm more disappointed that I didn't get to do the road trip up there with my best friend like last year.

the only bands i would want to see this year would be the darkness, the dandy warhols, the flaming lips, and the datsuns. So it would only be worth it if I lived in Auckland, cos i don't love any of the bands playing; there is just so much crap like scribe. I would have liked to go last year with the foo fighters, janes addiction, queens of the stoneage and the vines that would have been awesome... or even better '94 BDO with soundgarden and smashing pumpkins. As a teenager still living in the 90's BDO is just going to get worse and worse every year for me.. i probably will never go unless they have

I sat at home all day. Our house is being renovated so I was confined to my room for most of the time. And I couldn't catch up on my reading because my rather loud mum (in the room next-door) was chatting to her sister in Aussie all day long. Then we had dry lamb for dinner.
So all in all, my day was quite shit. Going to the BDO would've been nice.

i never really planned to go the the BDO thinking there werent enough bands id enjoy (3), but in all seriousness i shoulda given it more thought and gone, a friend of mine leaving me a message of enter sandman on my phone doesnt help my case either... dammit, im defionately going next year..

Oh yea, Metallica rocked but we all knew that already.
And of course the kiwi bands knocked the socks of all the international bands, so I guess we may as well stick with the Kings Arms eh?
