oh man please bfm move Hugh Sundae to graveyard

seriously. that peaches interview made me wanna stab my ears with a fork

Forums: NZ Music,

i didn't hear the interview - why was it so bad?

I enjoy hughs brekkie show, so it would be interesting to know how it was a let down...everyone is allowed the occasional cock up...

...fuck having to get up that early anyhoo.

just a really poor interview technique, like hes trying to go for the whole "yeah I know your famous but Im just going to treat you like on of my pals" thing but really you can sense the underlying starfuckdness that hes obviously feeling. it causes him to force his jokes (which are dry and obvious most of the time anyway) and basically embarrass himself. He needs a chat with uncle Havo to learn how it should be done

he's out of here!!

(unforgivable? nah ... ) signs of shyness and overwhelmed-ness i reckon. compensating and trying to create atmosphere from what's given him? perhaps he's dealing with some huge egos that demand thta sort of specific attention and spin? Hugh has done good in the past, i'll forgive him (but i like your 'ears-fork' description).

*sobs*
i can't make it to peaches tonight... OR mars volta.

i demand a post-gig report..

It can't have been as bad as Marty's interview with Lars on the Rock this arvo. The man is a terrible presenter! Why the hell was Jono taking a day off when Lars was coming in anyway?

Also, the caller who made me so embarrassed I had to block my ears because all he could say was 'Um yeah.... I'm alright. What about you guys?' for about 5 minutes and left his radio echo on in the background got given two backstage passes by the drummer of Metallica. Where's the justice?

I've never liked the bFM DJs. Holier-than-thou wankers the lot of 'em.

It's like real groovy employees - they think that because they work at these musical shrines, they are somehow better than everyone else. It pays to remember that at both establishments, the people paying their wages know how much these people value their workplace and accordingly pay them fuck all.

cafe slaves at certain establishment get to me..

Yeah, I mean there was one occasion when heard a song I rather liked and phoned up to ask the DJ what it was. "Fucked if I know" was the answer he gave me, and hung up. Then I asked if they would play a Smiths song during the Monday night British show and it was like "Hey everybody, this caller 'would like to hear a Smiths song', hahahaha."

Bastards.

Insulting callers on air sounds like the sort of lame stunt a "shock jock" would do. It seems lately that bFM are turning into just another commercial radio.

When the White Stripes came to town they had a competition where people who dressed up as the White Stripes would win tickets. What should we expect to see next? The bFM van showing up at malls with free prizes if you give them the phrase that pays?

But my favourite bFM item was the weekly email that was sent out shortly after Joe Strummer's death. The email consisted mostly of an obituary, giving to respect to the man who was such an important part of the punk. Then at the end of the email there was a paragraph reminding people to buy a b-card. It was mind blowingly insensitive.

Lucky little bastards? Ha!
