I doubt anyone is accessing NZmusic via a cellphone, so there's really no excuse for using txt.
Basically, when a word is spelt correctly you don't have to have to think before you read it. But if txt spelling is used, it has to be interpreted/translated first. It puts a barrier between the message and the reader.
