(Akl) Drummers:

Do the names Tomas Haake, Danny Carey & John Stanier mean anything to you? Do you have a sound knowledge of polyrhythms and odd time signatures? Does a rock solid groove get you going?
If this sounds like you, and you're prepared to work hard as part of an “up-and-coming” band, we want to hear from you.
As usual, own gear, own transport and a high degree of professionalism applies.

Forums: Classifieds,

sounds like you want a drummer who is better than anyone that lives in new zealand.
good luck.

No, just someone who knows of those drummers, understands the theories behind the music those cats make, and is willing to explore those sorts of grooves. Of course we expect a certain level of proficiency, but we're not asking for anybody to match them note for note, stick for stick—although that would be nice...

I don't know how to drum, but i can be the guy who manages the money u make from gigs.... he he he

You woudn’t be managing much (if any) ...

I'd love to give it a whirl, but i'm stuck in Wellington, and am going to ozzie.

...nice contribution.

Apparently there are veryfew drummers out there. Or do we suck that much that no-one wants to drum for us?

is there a music school in auckland? If so I would try advertising there, because there are some really fucking good drummers that go to those places. I mean if you can play jazz you can pretty much play anything aye. Shame your set up in auckland tho, if you were in chch id be interested.

i'll drum for you.
But i'm a girl.
And girl drummers suck ;)
