Damn, i've caught the flus again!!! mucus and snots everywhere!!! Who else has the flu? This thread might get deleted, but im gonna risked it anyway!!!
Is it the real flu, as in "Oh my God, I feel like I'm going to die. I feel so utterly shitty that all I am capable of doing is lying in bed. Urgh, no wonder people used to die from this."
Or is it a dramatic name for a bad cold, as in "Oh, my nose is all snotty and I've seen coughing up a bit of phlegm, but I reckon if I take some Night And Day tablets I should be ok to head along to the Kings Arms and see those bands tonight."
i had one of those nasty ones when i was in China, still, i do rather not risked it aggrevating it on friday, so i do give rave a skip this time... :( Who's playing at the kings arms by the way?
There's a bit of a flap over here because they're running out of "flu shots" and people might have to go without. If you ask me your far better off not getting any damn shot. Surely if you get a shot for the flu year after year, instead of maybe getting sick for a couple of days, it must have some form of adverse effect on your immune system, right?

you mean, take too much of something and it stops having any effect on your body... or that... sorry minds just gone blank and iv forgotton what i had to say...dumdeedumdeedum... your body gets something else cos its had too many meds when fighting other things...body can no longer fight for itsself... something like that...?
and jotun its probably just hayfever... have you not seen all the cottony stuff in the air...? think it came from the poplar trees? mum said something like that... i tuned out though so i cant really remember... and then theres all the pollen as well...

Its killed a few of the usuals i.e. the old/young/weak etc. There is however talk of a particularly nasty strain running about but as I don't really pay that kind of thing to much attention (its the flu for crying out loud, suck it up) I can't lend any insight, sorry man.
yer, my mates car got t-boned the other day and my head broke the window on the impacted side, the doc said that has burst some blood vessles in my face, and i should stop touching them and then they will be all good.
OK, so on top of "i keep getting blood from my nose and ears" you probably should have mentioned "i suffered some mild internal trauma the other week and it's repeating on me".
Not that it's all OK now, but spontaneous bleeding is a wee bit more alarming than that which is preceded by smacking your head through a window. :-)
