there are the Looma, Jakob, LD3 faction ...
there are the Looma, Jakob, LD3 faction and then there are the metal bands voodoo butta, corpse feast, angel hammer, scalpel and the punks: disorderlies, tempo 38, big blue blanket and a few younger bands, plus there are a lot of young bands coming out of the rockquest, syndrome and others that i'm to old to remember..plus the special bands sword, amy racecar, bunty, gertie, sneaky weasel gang and a few others...

do you live in either of these places? because if you know the right people you can find a scene for anything, rotorua bands are lacking in numbers but there is a fair bit of talent, punk or ska is generally accepted as 'gay' here.
