Does anybody have suggestions for good places/people to record demos with in the wellignton area? My Band did a a little at one quite prestegious studio and felt really ripped off in the end.
Any Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yep, we're always keen to record stuff up here.
The Blue Set mp3's you can download on nzmusic were recorded here at the Blue Room, also some of The Elusive Ones and K1500 project stuff.
Nothing too extravagant, Protools, some good microphones and some nice spaces to put people and their instruments in.
Generally work for peanuts, but will except dried fruits or legumes.
If you wanna check it out, call studio 04 473 4939, or email jd@theblueset.com.
Choice.

Sorry I forgot to say what type of music. We are called the red circle gang and we play kind of eccentric rock, a mix of tom waits, led zep, portishead. Rockish with some sleazy jazz, tangos, blues and grunge thrown in. Make sense?
