Hi I know this is about NZ Music...but I love Tupac. I want to talk about him. I want to hear your reviews especially from unrelated hip hop fans. Please say something, what do you think? Whats your perception on this man? This is my Musical Idol & so I shall post a fresh topic on the man himself. As an aspiring individual I call this shot due to his influence in my musical ability (I give that up to Bone as well really). So here here...must we speak on Tupac Shakur..I'll post you some of my recommendations too.
If you are into something inparticular let me know & I shall recommend a song of his that you should listen to. Or perhaps even you are feeling a certain way..i'll recommend an appropriate song to listen to.

Definitely not me thats for sure. I love the man. I have watched documentaries on him, read his autobiography, have seen all his hood movies. He is truly sensational as a person. Im not bragging about him for the sake of it but because I appreciate that he was for real. He sang songs from his mind as well as some from his heart. He's not at all only hardcore, he was truly great person...anyway..

my only gripe was that his style was usually a little soft for my tastes, i prefer harder edged beats like krs one, or cypress hill or whatever, but thats a minor consideration .. tupac was the man.

he did a whole lot of recordings before he died and there were unreleased songs that are/were held by his estate which last I heard was basically his mother. She decides when and how they are released.
As to liking Tupac, he never really did it for me.

C'mon you've got to give it up to the man who instilled his songs in almost everyone (hiphop world anyway) & also he raps about trials & tribulations that we face on a daily. He is by far one of the most wisest musicians in the world - to think that he has done so many unreleased tracks whilst his stay on earth possiblyl already (??) knowing that he would of eventually been killed for his words, is such a fine line between getting your shit together & thinking futuristic.
You should check it his collaborations with heaps of other stars but too many to recommend. He's the man for making it to the top, for being shot numerous times & still live (not for long though) & to record so many tracks - albums even.. to think about keeping the dough rolling in for mummy is pretty onto shit. He thought way beyond the square. Maybe you should try & watch his doco..you can get it from Real Groovy..its worth watching anyway. I truly miss him but to me he's still alive cos I listen to him almost in my daily life..
