internet buying - soundsnz.com

Has anyone bought a CD off soundsnz.com?
Because I wantto know if they're good at the whole delivery thig, and wont fuck up, and 'accidentally' steal all the money on me credit card.
Are they safe?

Forums: NZ Music,

My sister did. Seemed all good :)

It's absolutely fine.

Once they sent me a scratched CD, I complained & they replaced it & let me choose a free one. Once the CD never arrived, so I complained & I got my money back.

Real Groovy is good. Free Delivery to.

I'd say Real Groovy is the best out of the NZ online CD stores. Can't go wrong with free postage!

Sure you can, if their prices are $3-$5 more expensive than others.

Well I usually only get second hand stuff from them anyway ... so it's true I ain't sure on the price comparisons for new stuff.

Yeah Real Groovy is my pick for buying online. My stuff always gets here safe and pretty quickly. I haven't tried Sounds but their prices seem to be quite good for online buying.
I like Real Groovy coz there's usually stuff on there u can't find on the Sounds site. :)

...

I used both smoke & real groove, SMOKE prices are good & they provide a great ability to track your purchase (ie status) REAL GROOVY were good with communication i.e. emails advising despatch.
For second hand I found trademe.co.nz a cheap source & method of disposal.

I love Trademe! I've bought heaps of cds on there as well as all sorts of stuff, it's great! :)

Trademe is cool ... cept when you forget an auction is closing and iluvtheclean's around to snake you in the last few minutes :)

Hey James - you must've heard the saying - "you snooze, you lose"!

Well I have done it to plenty of other people (mainly on Ebay) ... it just shouldn't be allowed to happen to me is all! :)

yeah except with the postage its often more expensive. i bought system of a down's self titled on there and all in all including postage it was about $32. needless to say, i was more than slightly miffed at seeing it for sale for $15 at wonderland records 2 days later...

I have ordered off them, never had any problems.

Real Groovy doesn't have the best prices for new stuff, but it's the only place I know of that sells second-hand music online (apart from auction sites, which don't have anything i'm after). I must have bought about 20 sh albums - CD and vinyl - from their site in the last couple months. Ahhh, cheap vinyl. I bought something from SmokeCDs years ago, no complaints there. Of Sounds and Marbecks I know nothing.

echomusic.co.nz sells second hand stuff too, as well.

too, as well ... what a chump!
