This band is Nick Oliveri's side band from Qotsa.
I brought their album 'A Drug Problem That Never Existed ' last week & it quite good!! Sorta sound like a cross between the Murderdolls, Qotsa, AC/DC, White Stripes & The Datsuns

well anyway, i havent heard their latest album- but I did listen to a few of their tracks off the one before it- thought they were brilliant. Can you get the new album in nz or do you have to import it?

you don't have to import it - Real groovy have it - just head along to their "stoner rock" section that contains only QOTSA and Mondo generator last I checked. cracks me up when record stores adopt sub-psuedo-quasi-genres.
yeah I dunno about hearing the murder dolls and the white stripes in there. mondo generator is vicious. A mondo generator would fuck you up in horrible ways and then kick you out the car door at 130kph. But a murder doll? hell, you'd just pull its hair and tell it to siddown and stop blubbing.

they both have that heavy fast punk feel with screaming vocal's over it.
In one of the songs Nick's vocals sound sorta like Jack from the White Stripes.

just to add my thoughts on mondo, i'm in england, and i saw them last night, and they were FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! And dave catching and molly maguire are two of the most wonderful people in the world. but you can get desert sessions from amazon, i'm almost sure. cocaine rodeo is brilliant, as is a drug problem that never existed, but the latter has more of a qotsa vibe, which is fun. but oh my god they are wonderful.
