A little info about a.hero.for.nothing:

We're about 2 and a half months old, and we've been busting our asses to spread the good word. We appreciate any and all help you can give us. We're shocked and inspired by the incredible response we've gotten from people so far, and I want to keep this momentum moving ferociously forward by doing anything and everything i can possibly do, to draw people in, and experience our sound. Our blood burns for our fans and we feed off their enthusiasm, love, and support. Our songs are varied in musical style, but at their core they share common ground. Always raw, always scathingly honest, and above all, always real. All the songs are written from my own experience. The song 10 rings, a graphic depiction of a woman breaking free of a brutally abusive relationship, is ripped from the pages of my own life. A knot in my chest finally undone, and in doing so, hopefully reaches out to those who undergo what i went through on a daily basis. In any case, we were very unhappy with our demo initially because all we heard were our mistakes (and my bad notes) and our complete inability to properly produce a recording... but regardless of how we look on it, people seem to respond to it. Right now we're trying to get our poor asses signed and into the recording studio to get our songs properly recorded/produced. We have about twelve right now. Our ranks include Michael Shapira (Drums), Forrest Looker (Bass), Mike Volpe (Guitar), Rob Connors (Guitar), and Chritsian Guerrero (that's me, Vox). Our influences are as varied as our age and backgrounds. If you any questions about us, or you want to check out a show, don't hesitate to drop us a line. Thanks again for giving us the time of day

Sincerely,

Christian Andre Guerrero

Forums: The Bar,

Welcome... Your band sucks!!!

the site is ok, but, who's the guy holding the mic anyway??
He looks so dumb

that would be me... ha ha. I definately fell down the ugly tree when i was born... luckily the rest of my band makes up for me in spades. ha ha. Thanks for the feed back my friend. Take care.

is just not your kind of music, or are you in a bad mood? :-D

I was just joking man, I knew you were the guy with the mic.
Matilda said you're a handsome guy, of course, I'm better, but you're still hot... to her.
Anyway, I'm going to waist a little of my time downloading your music, cause I think you're nice, and that's a good thing.
Wish you luck, bye boy.

he is indeed handsome.

again, the dumb looking guy would be me... ha ha. anyway, is it just not your style of music, or you think it's shitty? I'm just curious. Take care.

Hey, your music is good, the recording doesnt do it much justice but it sounds like it would be pretty mean live or recorded better, your singing is pretty good but when you scream it sounds kinda odd, it fits but it just sounds like you can't do it properly. no offense just my opinion. your lyrics are cool you definately have put a lot of emotion into writing it. keep at it and come up north.

thank you so much for the wonderful compliments... from the bottom. To be honest, you've hit a key point in my musical development. I'm rather new at screaming, but i felt the song (10 rings) needed screams at particular points to highlight the emotional peaks (and they sound pretty neat). The problem is it's very difficult to practice screaming without tearing out your larnyx... ha ha. I would love any advise you can give me on the subject. As far as the quality of the demo, you're absolutely right. Our live show is pure nitro glycerine to our demo's watered down rubbing alcohol. I think i speak for everyone when i say that we would love to play New Zealand. It's so friggin beautiful out there. ANd if the people are as nice as you guys then I can't wait to get down
