I'm going to go with Klezmer, because people being bobbed up and down on chairs looks fun. Besides, some scholars suggest that Rai emerged from "improper forms of expression" such as women entertaining men, and quite frankly, I just don't like that attitude.

On the other hand, I'm far more likely to eat somewhere that's playing Rai rather than Klezmer, and it does add to the whole eating experience, so I'm torn between my femminist stance and my belly.

The tie breaker will have to be popular artists in either style, and let's face it - The Klez Dispensers is a far cooler name than Rai-ist Cheb Khaled but he did have the first number one song in France to be sung entirely in Arabic.

I give up. I guess in a Vegemite-Marmite arguement I'd just say "crunchy peanut butter", so now I might have to say "Tchaikovsky".
