hey i was just wondering how paul holmes can get in so much trouble for saying that stuff on radio and then mike king can just say what ever he wants on tv i know its commedy but its still not quite right.

Yeah bro... I guess it's different audiences. Holmes' audience are generally more mature & conservative. Mike King's is, er.... ah, well, take yer pick! It's the same with other TV/radio shows - Some programmes contain coarse language & nudity with no complaint... if Holmes went there, you could just imagine the kinda response he'd get.
While it was a really dumb thing to say, I think it has been blown way out of proportion. But we see now it's okay for people to quip, Holmes is a 'cheeky little whitey.' A double-standard??

I'm pretty sure the 'quip' description gives away that people are doing it with satire in mind. Given that Holmes isn't universally known for his intellectual prowess, and the content he surrounded his comment with (like the stuff about women journalists) I feel safe in assuming he wasn't being satirical.
