Just saw 28 days later yestoday. I was dissappointed by the lack of zomibe in the movie. Otherwise it's okay. The other movie i recommend everyone see this year is "city of god". hell of a piece of work!!! So whats everyone's opnion of the best and worst movie for this year? My best is "city of god" and worst is "tomb raider 2"

Forums: The Bar,

When i bought "Turn On The Bright Lights" i really thought i liked it, but now i'm really over it. i thought it was different, but the more i listen, the more it isn't .

gutted i hate when that happens.

when looking for something different usually you will find that different wasn't what you were after but something you understand.

when I'm searching for my keys I usually check my pockets last. I'm almost guaranteed that is where they are.

Interpol is frustratingly good, but oh so borrowed. which makes it frustraitingly bad. it's different but not at all. noone else is doing it so maybe thats why its good and bad. it's joy division and pre electric new order, but its done so well. i like it and i don't like it.

hope you find your keys bro

I felt the same way until I saw them live in August. They don't move at all on stage but they still had me captivated.

I think 'City of God' is a couple of years old now, but it's great either way. I saw it this year too.

How about that party scene? I so wanted to be there. :)

"Kill Bill" is the shit kiddies, go take a peak at Q's 4th its well worth the price of admission.

Pirates Of The Caribbean and May.

//Pirates Of The Caribbean

is that good? i went to see it about 2 weeks ago at queen st but it sold out! :( so my mate and I saw legally blonde 2 instead.

yes it indeed is, i've seen it 2 and a half times now.

i really must see it now!

Yeah kinda good movie 28 days. But WTF where all the zombies. Kinda boring after watching two hours of abandoned streets etc... Could have been a lot better. Ending sucks.

i agree, very good storyline, pity budget too low.

Has anyone seen 'Intolerable Cruelty'? Dunno if it's out in NZ, actually. Latest Coen bros flick, really liked their last two ('O Brother Where Art Thou' & 'The Man Who Wasn't There') but have a feeling not gonna enjoy this so much.

I just looked on IMDB.com and realised I've seen every movie they've done. Scary.

//'Intolerable Cruelty'?
i saw the preview for it it looks ok

Just on another note, Samuel L. 'Moviewhore' Jackson is in yet another film (S.W.A.T.) in that background/knows everything/shows up everywhere/leader guy/teacher role that he plays so well. Not that I don't think he's a good actor or anything, just a whore of the movie industry.

not a very good movie that

isn't it quite around here. fuck yes.

quiet

"game over man! game over!"

me watching Aliens! not quiet at all. what a great great great film. despite his lows, i adore James Cameron's direction.
