Hey dudes, I'm sure you all know a lot more about what's going on this weekend in our capital city than I do, and I sure wanna hear about it, but this is what I know:

Friday night is Speedo, Idle Faction and Mota at the valve. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing either of the latter bands before, but Speedo I have and I know they're worth your night alone! I think this is only the second time they've played live as a group, but the members are all old hands and were possibly the tightest rock band I've seen at a local gig back when they played bodega, and that was their first ever gig!

Just to clarify, i'm in no way part of or affiliated with Speedo and doing the sad old "dazed fan of my own band impression" thing here :)

But I am here:
Saturday night is Jones and Silverfish at the Cross!

Now, when Silverfish organised this thing they said that The Disorderlies from hawkes bay were also playing, but either the band or the band's name has changed, and now the lineup lists the other band as being the Sneaky Weasel Gang - damn, I -hope- they're a costume band!

Us guys in Jones have been looking forward to playing for a long time and Sat. night will definately be a big one for us! People who have heard demos etc have said we sound like a cross between BLIND MELON and KYUSS, but I won't make up people's minds for them... come and hear for yourself.
