C4 so far... yay or nay?

Personally, I think it looks quite digestible...

Forums: NZ Music,

haha,i just saw the funniest thing on it, i quickly flicked to it for two seconds.
and laughed.

"from this time of night, C4 changes to more adult programming.it is not suitable for children, but is suitable for parents and more grown up children."
bahaha.but at least they have fucking jackass.

lol yea that notice was quite good. . .we told the mum to go to bed as she is classified as a little kid

but as much as i saw of it . . .which wasnt much. . . it ddnt look too bad! part from the old music that was being played! . . .

Was jacquie always like that? mum kept insulting her :P

yeah this was class

I saw that too, but when the two homo faggot dudes appeared, that just killed everything

My little bro thinks it sux that all the decent shows are on at 10 or so, but hey I can get used to it... Maybe i'll request the Megalomaniac video a million times and I'll get somewhere.

As an ex-design student I don't really LOVE the design, its all such a "white" studio and corny countdown graphics, at least Space has that Billboard thing :-P have fun, anyways, its your show (apparently).

aye there playing Van Halen as we speak - "Pop The Teacher" Is THE FUCKEN BEAST!!!!!!

van halen rules.

Fucken Indeed there saul, your on the path to true happiness. :-)

"Pop The Teacher"... yes.. yes that's right.

sigh

The all white set, the camera angle... all sneakingly familiar to one of the programmes on MTV UK.... but i can't remember what it was called...... if i had a working vcr i'd get my old MTV tapes out and find out what it was.

http://francesrosey.googlehax.com ]

I have a feeling it was called "hot" or something like that. I just remember this guy babling on for ages, boring.

I think the programme you're thinking of was called "Hot". It had some dude on a white background, along with a sofa and another piece of furniture, I think. Ah, those were the days....

haha i bet you smartass jks :p

shaddup

I never saw MTV UK, but as I watched it earlier, one of my friends pointed out that he thought it was almost exactly the same as MTV UK in terms of content and videos.

MTV GET OFF THE AIR - NOW Jello Baifra 1985

that only really applies to mtv usa sammy :)

i know grimmy, i was just reciting a kick ass DK Song, but MTV is undistinguishable - its Corporate American Trash anyway no matter how many satellite stations it has w/wide.

alls i know is that the uk gets some kiwi stuff on it, which would never happen on mtv usa

It's early days & I really shouldn't bag them till they've had a fair crack at it but... nah, stuff it. This is poorly made television. You want music tv? Go get Sky. It's the other programming such as Pulp Sport etc. that I'll be watching.

p.s. they love their Madonna!

Heh, I saw 4 Madonna vids & 3 R.E.M.s. & I only watched til 11.30.

wahey! you guys have MISSED THE POINT! this is what people voted for so that is what we get.
dicks

But we could only choose from a list of songs they gave us.
Dick.

a very big and varied list.

Clarke needs to loosen up a bit.. jaquie definatly is wearing the pants, theres nothing wrong with that, its just clarke looks uncomfortable like "you have experience, Ill let you handle it" CHILL OUT MAN. I hope its just first day nerves.

yeah he still looks nervous today.
video killed the radio star

well there playing mostly 80s videos - id call it comedy, i just love laughing at there dopey haircuts but im reeling some cool as 80s tunes - Yippie

as soon as they start playing Nelly, Eminem, Christina Aguleria, Britney Spears, Holly Vallance or Atomic Kitten Im switching off.

http://www.lucifer-sam.com ]

Note:
All the artists you included above, bar eminem, will not be on the show.
Remember it was voted by us, on the C4 website - And none of the choices included Britney or Christina. So don't worry about that.

i suspect people are enjoying C4 so far because it was voted for by the music listening public... not some programmer who thinks they know what should be popular.

//not some programmer who thinks they know what should be popular.

maybe that programmer oughta be shot by me personally.

It looks like from 4-7.30 when the kids get home from school it'll be a "After school" popfest, after that the specialist stuff takes over

i think Icemans prophecy of "after-school" popfest has come true, i was channel surfing this evening and found a show on C4 Called SELECT its fucken hideous, 95% of the stuff is no-talent pop c(R)ap or Jock Rock. Saul if your reading maybe me and you should team up and walk into the SELECT Studio and blow ourselves up and declare our martyrdom for the sake of Death/Black Metal.

but i can criticise them for JACKASS Stupid dumb MTV crap.

stupid yes, but incredibly funny :D

Any show with Bam in it is fiiiiine by me.

hah, bams a legend
the movie was great

He's one good skater.
Funny too.
Go the Bam.

real jackass is wicked but the c4 jackasses e.g. cricketers scoring runs across queen st -victoria street intersection just doesnt seem as funny

I'm pretty sure the cricketers were an ad for Pulp Sport, not wannabe Jackass. Two different things.

Yeah, that was an ad for Pulp Sport, which isn't even remotely like Jackass.

jackass is so funny, and Bam is a hunny - not to mention a badass skater

I was thinking "what is WITH the Whitney Houston" and then realised I had J2 on instead. Oops.

There hasn't been any real stink music so far ... so that's all good.

This Nick dude is better than Jackie and Clark ..... but enough with the freaking Madonna already!!! :(

Its a wonder about how many nz'rs are obviously into their madonna.....

funny how REM are also doing well out of this, yet the article in this months rip it up didn't even get a mention on their cover... pfft to them turfing michael stipe for the cover in favour of britney.

yea Nick was great on m2 good to see him back on telly

I'll say ... it looked like an ok issue, but I'm not buying anything with Britney on the cover!

yeah, i wouldn't have bought it with britney on the cover either, In fact it would have made me bypass it on the shelf, but i have a subscription... it still took me a whole day to bother opening it.... the cover actually put me off reading any of it

I bought it because.. because.. my best friend wrote the REM article. Heheh! I got a phone call at 6am (whatever time in England) seconds after she interviewed him and she shrieking. It was so cute... I mean.. .professional...

This nick dude probably has the most experience (except maybe jackie), he was on Max TV at about age 12, and he's done a lot of radio shows, like bFM, and he dj's periodically at Fu and various music events

It's not too shabby so far. In between Johnny Knoxville bashing the bejesus outta his balls and not completely crap videos... i like.
