OK, so he wasn't shortlisted for the Booker this year, but what a consolation! He deserves every accolade the world can afford him.

Janet Frame was shortlisted for the Nobel, but, you know how it goes. Just cross your fingers and hope she'll win it some time before she dies. I doubt it though...
