Forums: Bands,

At last! The Demi Whores are up on NZmusic.com. Can't wait to see the DW movie. Hurry up and finish your album! the tracks on "here come the Bullet holes" only serve to make us more hungry, and we need to feast... and fly...

Have you recorded "Pussy Moon" yet? First class anthem all the way.

'PUSSY MOON' IS RECORDED... IT JUST NEEDS A WEE TAMBORINE AND MAYBE EVEN A SHAKER ON IT... I'VE USED A TUPPERWARE CONTAINER FULL OF RICE IN THE PAST ... MAYBE WE'LL USE THE REAL THING THIS TIME

I'm really liking the 2 MP3's you have up here, are there anymore floating around somewhere?

if you haven't already, check out the "here come the bulletholes" compilation. it's bloody good, and there is a Demi Whores song on it, plus an Ed Gains (guitarist going solo) song.

Cool, I'll write that down, and then one day when I magically have money I'll look into getting it.

I love the Demi Whores.

ed gains is mostly made of genious things!

I Am Evil is a fucking good song. I even liked it on the first listen. *goes to get the other one*

This is my new favourite song!!

awwwwesome. i'd really like to be there ... sob ... "remotely" unlike them is odd though ... if Interpol wanted someone not like them at all, they wouldn't have picked a rock band, but Ms Westenra or somesuch.

The Demi Whores To Support Interpol

Auckland band The Demi Whores will support Interpol on their NZ tour.

The band were chosen by Interpol to play at their two shows in Auckland and Wellington early next month.

Promoter Mystery Girl sent CDs from NZ acts directly to Interpol in New York who wanted to pick their support act themselves.

"Interpol were adamant they didn't want a support act that sounded anything remotely like them, and they were taken with the Demi Whores," says Mystery Girl.

The Demi Whores (Edward Gains, Marcus Francis Joyce and Anthony Pompeus) are still in disbelief and say they are 'honoured to be asked'.

Interpol play Auckland's St James Theatre August 2 and Wellington's Victoria University August 3. Wellington is sold out but tickets for the Auckland show are still available at Ticket Direct.
