I don't know Buzz works, but for working on a PC I'd recommend always using PCM WAV format (which is the normal type of WAV). Trying to un-compress audio of any kind (MP3, WMA, OGG, etc) on the fly in a music making app is just putting undue strain on your machine (and potentially the quality will be shit too).
wavs will play normally in buzz. . you have to load them using the wavetable (little button up top with a wave on it) ....then use a sampler or tracker machine to play them...basically read the help files and experiment , ..
