I just think that hip hip is american music, not new zealand music. i mean, its inevitable that sounds from other places will influence nz music, but that doesnt mean we should just copy what they do. personally, i would far rather go and see someone like che fu (hip hop beats but with a wicked kiwi sound you wont hear anywhere else) than another gangsa-rap clone like deceptikonz. you can already buy so much that sounds like them in shops, the only difference is that they come from auckland. never mind the fact that mareko flew to america to record HIS album.
