i've had my hair red for almost 2 years now, and today it has come to my attention that the specific hairdye that i always use has been discontinued.
i've tried other hair dyes and they wash out way too fast / don't look as bright as they do on the box / are really blotchy.
can anyone recommend some good brands and colours of hairdye? i would prefer an unnatural colour (also, if you know me or have met me, tell me what colour you think would suit me!)
this is quite desperate as i have major regrowth!!!!!

If you're punk, you just cut your hair with a cigarette lighter, and then use soap and glue to hold it in place. Food coloring would be the punk color system also.
However, this was cool in the late 70's, perhaps the Toni and Guy can offer some better alternatives.

I don't know what brand of dye you were using, but most dye makers have a helpline you can ring. If there's one for your old dye, give them a call and ask if they have any suggestions. Sometimes colours get different names, different packaging. They might be able to point you in the direction of a good substitute.

My mate tried that Loreal colour booster in that really bright red colour,the colour turned out really bright and it really suited her,the only problem was that the dye would run every time she would wash her hair and it fades quite a bit,the colour didnt go all blotchy and you can get it in other bright colours like purple and bright golden yellow,its quite expensive though
