Then check out the album "Soul Revolution", released about a year ago now and has sadly never been given the recognition it deserves but it is BEAUTIFUL. One of my favourite albums, ever, fullstop. Featuring some of the Freddies cats and various other Welly musos even after 12 months of playing it I still love it.
Heard they went off at Destinations and created a real "who WERE those guys" vibe amongst the punters which is great and hopefully means they are starting to get some of the kudos they deserve. They are also supporting Salmonella Dub on their current tour which lands them in Welly next Mon & Tuesday. If you've never seen them live or even if you have I urge you to check them out. Yah for NZ reggae!
i'll definitely be checking them out either with sal dub or the black seeds... they're playing two shows with each in the next few weeks in Wellington. Also totally went off at the orientation gig, supporting TrinityRoots. Fantastic vibe, I especially liked it when the keyboardist started doing cool things with pois
