nah. I'm actually a bit of a games purist, preferring to rely on my own guile and skill as opposed to walkthroughs and cheats. it's way I hardly every play online multi-player games - I can never be sure the guys at the other end haven't got half a dozen 'auto-aim' cheats in place.

the exception to the rule was the old zx spectrum game jet set willy - but that was *impossible* to finish without a cheat.

man, that game was probably one of the most poked speccy games ever. Poked as in hacked that is - to enter cheats into speccy games you had to use the POKE command. In Jet Set Willy a couple of favourites were...

To stop deaths by heights: POKE 36477,1
To obliterate all moving objects: POKE 35123,0

...that kinda thing. You can find a bunch more pokes, walkthroughs and maps here...

yeah im not a cheat type neither.. i remember everyone used to thrash the cheats in the early days of doom.. then i think in doom 2 it was impossible to finish without being able to walk thru walls or something .. that made me mad! - i never finished it
